What You’ll Be Able to Do

  • Configure, operate, and extend a Dynamics 365 Field Service implementation end to end
  • Run hands-on scheduling and resource optimization using the schedule board and RSO
  • Work with mobile Field Service, offline capability, and technician workflows
  • Apply Connected Field Service, IoT integration, and predictive maintenance concepts
  • Build working familiarity with Power Platform tools and Dynamics Copilot

Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of CRM concepts
  • Beginner-level experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • General IT knowledge
  • Experience in field service operations (preferred, not required)

Day 1
Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Foundation
  • Introduction to Dynamics 365 — CRM vs ERP, ecosystem, modules overview
  • Power Platform basics — Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse
  • Environment setup, admin center, and licensing overview
  • Dataverse fundamentals — tables, columns, relationships
  • Business logic, forms & views, security model, and auditing
Day 2
Core Dynamics 365 Field Service
  • Work orders — lifecycle, statuses, incident types
  • Service tasks and task flows
  • Customer assets and asset hierarchy
  • Agreements for preventive maintenance and recurring work orders
  • Inspections, inspection templates, and SLAs (response & resolution KPIs)
Day 3
Scheduling, Resource Management & Mobile Field Service
  • Bookable resources, schedule board, and dispatching
  • Requirement groups for multi-resource scheduling
  • Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO), territory management, capacity planning
  • Field Service mobile app, offline capability and sync, mobile security
  • Technician experience — end-to-end real-world scenarios
Day 4
Inventory, Warehousing & Connected Field Service
  • Inventory management, product catalog, and warehouse setup
  • Purchasing, purchase orders, and returns management
  • Connected Field Service — IoT integration concepts and alerts
  • Azure IoT integration for device monitoring
  • Predictive maintenance concepts and Remote Assist (mixed reality support)
Day 5
Power Platform Advanced, Integration & AI/Copilot
  • Power Apps advanced (canvas & model-driven), Power Automate cloud flows, Business Process Flows
  • Power BI reporting dashboards and AI Builder document processing
  • Dynamics APIs (Web API, OData), integration patterns, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus
  • ERP integration and Dual Write for Finance & Operations sync
  • Dynamics Copilot, AI-driven scheduling, generative AI summaries, and AI-assisted QA
Labs: Throughout the training: a real-world, end-to-end project covering customer onboarding, multi-region deployment, governance, production support, and UAT management.
